Equinix has upgraded its connection to the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange (CATNIX) from 1 to 20 Gbps, through two ports of 10 Gbps each.

The connection speed between the Campus Nord and Equinix nodes of the Catalonia Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) has been increased to 40 Gbps (4×10 Gbps) in mid-July. Until now, the connection between the two PoP was made at 30 Gbps (3×10 Gbps).

The telecommunications network guifi.net has upgraded its connection from 10 to 20 Gbps.

Telecommunications and content provider, Telefónica, has upgraded its connection from 1 Gbps to 3 Gbps.
