

Equinix has upgraded its connection to the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange (CATNIX) from 1 to 20 Gbps, through two ports of 10 Gbps each.
The connection speed between the Campus Nord and Equinix nodes of the Catalonia Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) has been increased to 40 Gbps (4×10 Gbps) in mid-July. Until now, the connection between the two PoP was made at 30 Gbps (3×10 Gbps).
Telecom operator Adamo has upgraded its connection to the CATNIX from 20 to 50 Gbps. Until now, this operator had two ports of 10 Gbps to access the IXP and now it has 50 Gbps speed using a 100 Gbps port.

The telecom and content operator Telefónica has upgraded its connection speed to the CATNIX this July from 3 Gbps to 5 Gbps. Member of CATNIX since 2001, Telefónica connects to this IXP through the Campus Nord Point of Presence (PoP).
