1999 – CATNIX is born

The creation agreement was signed in April 7, 1999 with the support of the former Information Society Commission.

12 founding members: BT Telecomunicacions; Catalana de Telecomunicacions SOX (Al-Pi); Datagrama; Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca; Infase Comunicaciones; Institut Català de Tecnologia; Internet Network Services; Menta; Retevisión; Sarenet, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the former CESCA.
