The CATNIX has a RIPE Atlas probe available on its facilities. RIPE Atlas is a global tool that measures thousands of nodes distributed around the globe. It makes pings and traceroutes, tracks network packets, and tests the state of the local servers’ network.

The Anella Científica has upgraded its speed connection at the Catalunya Neutral Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) from 1 Gbps to 2 Gbps. As a result, by now there are already three entities connected at 2 Gbps at CATNIX, the Anella Científica and the Jazztel and Orange operators.
