FilNet connects at 100 Mbps

The internet services providers (ISP) FilNet has connected to the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) at 100 Mbps speed. This connection is made through Telvent, the second location of CATNIX.

As the Telecomunicacions i Societat de la Informació secretary, Jordi Bosch, affirms ‘the customers of FilNet as well as the Catalonia students will profit from a better quality of the internet service’.

FilNet was created in 1985 and it sooner became one of the first access and services providers of value added not only for companies but also for users in the field of telecommunications. This ISP has evolved towards a model of technologic management on the net which allows the maximum autonomy on the administration of customers’ services and offers shared hosting plans, dedicated and private servers, Plesk control panels, connectivity and domains registration, among others.

With this connection and recent the drop out of Vodafone, the CATNIX has currently 20 members among operators and ISP.
