

CSUC has installed a new Network Time Protocol (NTP) server at the Point of Presence (PoP) that the CATNIX has at the Barcelona Cable Landing Station (Barcelona CLS).

CATNIX will host the talk “How RIS Saw the Iberian Power Outage” on June 27, presented by Michela Galante (RIPE NCC).

Once again, CATNIX has taken part in ESNOG 33, the meeting of the Spanish Network Operators Group, held at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid.

The telecommunications company Avatel has connected to CATNIX at 10 Gbps at the bitNAP PoP (Point of Presence), one of the four nodes that the IXP has in Barcelona and its metropolitan area.

CATNIX has launched a new out-of-band access device for entities connected to the IXP at the Campus Nord node.

CSUC has installed a new Network Time Protocol server (NTP) at the Campus Nord node. This server, a Meinberg Lantime M320, allows synchronization of both the Anella Científica equipment and the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange (CATNIX).

The global internet service provider Hurricane Electric upgraded its connection in December from 10 Gbps to 20 Gbps. This was achieved through a 100 Gbps port at the point of presence that CATNIX has at Equinix.

The telecommunications operator Infinity has joined to the CATNIX. The connection, at 10 Gbps, was established at the CATNIX point of presence (PoP) located at Equinix, one of the IXP’s four locations.
