The new Cisco ASR 1001-X replaces the routing functions of the previous one, the Cisco 3650, which now continues functioning as a switch.
The following CATNIX services are found in the new router: the Speed Test, the J root-server from Verisign, the L-root Name Server from ICANN, the .com and .net Top Level Domain (TLD) replicas from Verisign, the Google Global Cache and the RIPE Atlas probe.
With the new update, the scalability of services increases, allowing a greater number of routes and an increase in capacity.
