As usual, before the session there was an introductory talk open to the public, which on this occasion was given by Mike Blanche from Stratus Novem.
Blanche focused his presentation on the implications of the European Commission’s upcoming proposed Digital Networks Act, that aims to reshape telecommunications regulation for Europe, and that can potentially affect telecomunications operators, Internet Service Providers, Content Delivery Networks, Internet Exchanges, etc.
The talk introduced the recent political history that has led to the DNA proposal, and highlighted some of the possible changes that could impact Internet networks, services, users, and the IP interconnection ecosystem.
