Adam, Sarenet and Nexica move to Telvent
The internet services providers (ISP) Adam, Sarenet and Nexica have moved its connection from the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) to Telvent, the alternative connection point to the neutral point. Both Adam and Saranet, which had a connection of 100 Mbps, are currently connecting to Telvent at 1 Gbps, whereas Nexica maintains its 100 Mbps connection.
FilNet connects at 100 Mbps
The internet services providers (ISP) FilNet has connected to the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) at 100 Mbps speed. This connection is made through Telvent, the second location of CATNIX.
South European Neutral Exchange Points join to boost the Internet traffic
Representatives from the IXPs Catnix, Espanix, Lyonix, MIX, Namex and Topix have met today in Barcelona to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of collaborating in enhancing Internet growth in Southern Europe. The signed MoU creates the SEIXP (South European Internet Exchange Points) group whose objective will be to reduce the gap with Northern Europe in terms of exchanged internet traffic in IXPs involved.
Orange connects at 1 Gbps
The operator of telecommunications Orange has connected to the Catalonia Neutral Internet Exchange Point (CATNIX) at 1 Gbps speed.
